تم تأكيد الشراءDecided to buy this NUC to build one HTPC. Small and efficient. Chosen i5-1240P vs i7-1260P version, as is cheaper.
Installed one WD Blue SN570 as main SSD (500GB, NVME) + 16GB DDR4-3200 (Crucial, 2 x 8GB).
Also, one old 2.5 inch SATA SSD was installed for extra data storage.
Installed Windows 10 Pro. After activation (paid!), updated to Windows 11 Pro - still learning how to customize.
Tested with HeavyLoad for about 1 hour, processor temperature was somewhere in 80-85 Celsius range.
Yes, I can hear the fan running, but not sounding like fire alarm.
Connected to LG 4K LED TV by HDMI.
Managed from BIOS settings to start PC and TV from PC power button simultaneously.
Also, to shutdown the PC when TV is shutting down by remote control.
Note that this NUC version (NUC12WSHi5) does not have infrared sensor (like other older generation NUCs).
Front panel (beside Power button) have 2 x USB3.2 (type A) and 3.5mm audio jack.
Back side: 1x USB2, 1x USB3.2, 2x USB-C (Thunderbolt 4), 2 x HDMI, Ethernet (2.5Gbps) and power connector.
Of course, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth.
Internal, there is also thermal pad for the NVME SSD, helping to dissipate heat generated by SSD.
4K videos from Ytube are played without any problem.
As understood from different forums, if installed only one RAM, the GPU is reported as Intel UHD.
In my case (2 x 8GB), reported as Intel Xe Graphics.
Overall, I like the small PC and the performance is what I was expecting.
I didn't try games.
Maybe later, will try the Akasa Turing WS fanless case.
