Verified PurchaseEverything about the monitor is good except the colors and the mount. The size of the monitor is good, the bezel is good, 4k resolution is good. However, I have 2 complaints about the manufacturing. I go into detail below.
First, the colors look dull, I am comparing it to an Odyssey G6 32-inch, side by side it looks a lot more dull, and doesn't support HDR, so this comparison is SDR vs SDR and the Odyssey still beats it. Even after trying to tweak the color settings both in the NVIDIA control panel and the monitor control panel, I still can't get it anywhere near not dull. It doesn't seem like a setting issue, rather it seems like a part of the LCD, so it doesn't look like there is anything to be done.
Second, the mount the UR59C uses is a nonstandard VESA-compliant mount, meaning you will have to purchase a separate mount adapter such as: HumanCentric VESA Mount Adapter for Samsung Curved Monitors U32R590, U32R590C, U32R592, and U32R591 (on amazon, hopefully it works) to mount it to a monitor stand or wall mount with VESA 100x100 or 75x75 plates. If you do not plan to mount this monitor, you can skip past this.
A third, not a complaint but a disclaimer, this monitor doesn't have an internal speaker, so there is no audio when you try to play anything from it, you will need to connect an external soundbar using an audio jack in the back of the monitor. I have my audio output to headphones or my main monitor, so this doesn't bother me that much but if you do like watching a video and the audio coming from the direction you are watching, I would recommend a soundbar for the monitor.
Now for the good, it is a 4k monitor, so I doubt anyone will be playing any competitive games, etc. So in terms of playing story games that support 4k or watching TV series/movies in 4k, the 60hz is good and you generally will not be needing more (in the monitor control panel I set the response time to "fastest" just in case it would cause any issues). It would be worth it to double-check if your GPU can run things in 4k. The detail on this monitor is good, the curve angle is good, and provides clear images from any way you look at it. This monitor on the regular stand cannot move up or down or rotate sideways, but it can tilt up or downwards. The stand also provides enough space to be able to help with cable management and has a plate that goes over the back. Provided is an HDMI cable but it seems like a 1-2 meter cable, I require a longer cable so I purchased a 5-meter displayport cable alongside this. The monitor has an eye-saver mode which is a blue light filter, which I find good for late-night sessions or binge-watching.
In summary, this is a top-tier monitor at its price point, but if you are looking for great color on a monitor, I wouldn't be able to recommend this monitor for that and would tell you to look for an OLED monitor (even though they are more expensive). If you are looking to mount this monitor you will need to purchase a mounting adapter. Other than that, great entry to 4k gaming or entertainment. Personally, this is my 4th monitor in my setup, but my only 4k as the others are 1080p and 1440p, and the Samsung Odyssey G6 is double the price but 4 times the Hz, and significantly better coloring, and has the Samsung Smart Monitor system. So this monitor is just for casual 4k gaming and watching 4k shows/movies. Which is good enough for me. I wouldn't use this monitor as a main monitor in my setup.
